How To Get A Copy Of Estierra

Estierra is a shareware product. You can try it out free. If you like it and want to use it, you must register. If you don't like it, then don't use it and pay nothing.

Registration is inexpensive. The basic Windows package is only $25 for individual registration. Full CD-Rom version which includes all Estierra programs and more than 400 megabytes of auxiliary data is only $50.

Downloadable Files. Instructions and Tips
The files in the following table are fully functional, complete versions of Estierra. To download the files, simply click on the appropriate links.
Estierra Utilities
  • Estierra Download - (1.1Meg). This is the complete terrain modeling package. It contains everything you need to create your own terrain models.
  • GTFViewer The viewer for GeoTiff files that allows you to load topomaps or aerial photographs into Estierra. This produce is free to registered Estierra users.
  • STDS Converter An improved STDS-to-DEM converter. It is much faster than other converters and is able convert corrupted STDS files.

 
Third-Party Programs Support Downloads
  • IZArc - If you are downloading DEMs you will need a program to decompress the files. This is my current favorite. It is free and works very well.
     
  • WinZip - WinZip is the standard program for unpacking files on a PC. It is still an excellent product, however it costs money. Still you can download an evaluation version for free.
 Direct-X Downloads. The Estierra requires that you have DirectX 6.0 or better installed on your computer. Versions of Windows earlier than Windows ME will require that you upgrade:
