Platt Park Residents' Coalition (PPRC) is now a Registered Neighborhood Organization with the City of Denver. Mission/Purpose of Platt Park Residents' Coalition PPRC is to preserve and enhance the low-density character of our Neighborhood for the purpose of preventing the development of high rise, high density dwellings that increase traffic congestion, noise and air pollution in our neighborhood and throughout the surrounding areas. PPRC's mission is to keep residents informed about the rezoning/redevelopment of the Cherokee and Gates East Campus sites, and represent neighborhood concerns and needs to the City of Denver, the developers, the State (highways) and any relevant party. PPRC will pass on any information about development matters that effect our neighborhood. Please let us know of any information that you might have. PPRC has been working with environmental groups to insure our neighborhood is tested and cleaned-up. It is known that the dangerous chemical  TCE (trichloroethane) contaminates both the Gates and Cherokee sites and has migrated offsite into residential neighborhoods. There are also other contaminates on the Gates/Cherokee properties, including heavy metals.
