Default Path

A path is the information that a computer needs in order to find a file on a hard drive. Since one folder can be nested inside another, a path is a list of folders you have to go through to get to the file.  When a path is written out, it usually begins with drive letter, followed by a list of folder names, each one separated by a slash “\”.
