Compass allows you to set the way the editor works and the appearance of the edit grids. To set these options select the "Options -> Editor Preferences" option from the menu.
This will bring up the Editor Preferences window:
The window is divided into three pages: Entry Modes, Shot Validation and Editor Grid Format. You can select a page by clicking on the tabs at the top of the window. Here is detailed information about each mode:
