You can delete a Data File or Compass Folder from a Project by highlighting the specific File or Folder and selecting the "Edit|Delete File From Project" options from the menu bar. You can also delete files by pressing the Delete File button on the tool bar.
Deleting Folders. If the selected item is a Folder, the folder will be removed but all the subfolders and files will be placed just above the deleted folder.
Deleting Folders. If the selected item is a file, the file will be deleted from the project and tree, but the actual Data File and the data it contains will remain unchanged on disk. If you really need to completely delete the file from disk, use the Windows Explorer.
Surveys. For safety’s sake, you are not allowed delete individual surveys from the Tree. You can delete surveys using the Survey Manipulation features of the Project Manager or by using the Survey Editor
